We took a little break and celebrated our anniversary in Chillicothe, Ohio the last weekend in May!
We actually pulled a rookie move and realized upon arrival that we had left the camper keys 2.5 hours away, AT HOME!!! Thankfully, the campground was largely full time campers and the owners happened to have spare keys that unlocked our doors!
I also didn't take a ton of photos while there -- we were just there for the weekend and didn't do a whole lot but play and hang around the camper!
Also, just to be completely honest, this wasn't my favorite place that we've been and I doubt we would go back. After we left, we heard they had had a little theft problem; people were stealing propane tanks off of the other campers. Because it was mostly full timers, it had sort of a commune feel (not in a cult way) and it definitely didn't cater to temporary guests. There were boxes and stuff stacked everywhere so it also gave off a "hoarders" vibe, but I think the owners just recently purchased it so perhaps they are just gearing up to change all that. There is NO cell service and the WiFi is super spotty, so if you were looking for an off-grid experience, this would be it!
All in all, it would be a good overnight stop if it were on your way, but definitely not a destination vacation. ☺
