I'm not quite sure how I find myself here again so quickly, watching another child pass such a monumental milestone, leaping towards adulthood. In my mind, she will always be the little curly haired, brown-eyed spitfire, who could be so sweet one second and then such a mean little gremlin the next. I am so unbelievably proud of her but I miss that little girl, lost in her own world twirling and singing to herself, with a force that squeezes my heart and takes my breath away. So much so, that I struggle to find the words to tell her all the things that she deserves to know, so...
I will wipe away my tears and leave her with this short poem:
You Are a Force.
Daughter, you are a force to be reckoned with.
A beacon of hope, a light in the darkness.
Your strength, resilience, and grace inspire all who know you.
As you navigate this world, remember your worth.
Embrace your unique beauty, both inside and out.
Know that you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to.
The road ahead may be challenging, but you are never alone.
Your mother is always here, supporting and loving you.
Together, we will face any obstacle that comes our way.
So, daughter, keep shining your light.
Keep dreaming, keep striving, keep growing.
For you are a gift to this world, a treasure to behold.
